LEJ Design texture

Hi thank you for stopping by . It's Tuesday again and I have another fabulous digi from that I have used on a design for this weeks competition.  I really loved doing this one because it gave me a chance to work with mulberry paper again which i haven't used in sooooooo long .  Any way This is how it looks :

and this is how i did it:

I started by gluing three pieces of hard board together two at 6x4 and one at 7x6

I then painted it with gesso and left it to dry  over night

I then took a metal brush and some mulberry paper and brushed it untill it resembled fur and then popped that on the back of the letter holder :
Then I added two very strong tubes two the back and painted the whole thing in pink acrylic then used a brown crackle paint . I then added some inca gold . Then the crowning glory was to add the fabulous digi from

called Bashful Bear which I coloured with my copic markers I then modge podged all the painted areas, added some flowers that I hand made. These you can find to buy in my shop . and wala

I do hope it has inspired you to do something with texture and you will pop over to LEJ Designs and enter this weeks challenge .

I would like to enter this into the following challenges :
